MUS-E, intercreative project
Together with MUS-E artist Sarah Lauwers and teacher Valérie, the fourth-grade children from primary school ‘Voorzienigheid’ in Anderlecht got to work on rituals in the home.
They thought about objects that play an important role in the home, their own unique rituals and rituals they shared with others. Soon the desire arose to build one big house where everyone could live and share their rituals. But what should that look like? Will there be a game room? Is everyone allowed in the cinema? And who shares a room with whom?
To make decisions in this creation process, the class installed their own building and meeting rituals.

Since 2000, MUS-E Belgium has been at the forefront of participatory arts. As a bilingual organisation, MUS-E brings active art experience within reach of children, young people and adults regardless of their prior knowledge or background. Participants are invited to step into the world of artists during processes of intercreation in which imagination, experimentation and dialogue are central.
