Being present in cities part I, 2021
Curtains, table tops, clay, video on iPhone, video on flat screen, ceramics
How to be present in an ever-changing body, landscape and mind?
Being present in cities, part one is the beginning of a formal investigation that explores the above question. The installation brings clay and video into dialogue. Using green screen effects, photogrammetry and game design, it zooms in on their tactile qualities.
The human body is absent and present at the same time: At rest in the video. In the fingerprints on the objects. In the undone actions the objects refer to.
Upon entering the installation, the viewer's body becomes a conductor between clay and video.
